My name, in your language, is RALF. It is an acronym for RVing Alien Life Form, and I am formerly from the used-to-be-called-a-planet, Pluto.
I have scoured the universe looking for signs of outdoor life at great prices, and finally landed on earth. It had been many light years since I had been here, and RVs have come a long way since the horse-and-wagon thing that was going on last time I checked. I have decided to stay awhile, and feel I can make do with the sub-standard electronics on this planet for now. Wi-fi is old-school, but works well enough, and I am bored and lonely. I have decided to seek out others like myself, and lo and behold - I have found some "Happies" here who look quite similar to beings on my planet (without the stunning, beautiful eyes of my people, of course).
I met the Happies at the
Happy Camper Half Price Club office shortly after I purchased my RV. I met
Timothy_Bleary and Moonie_Blue, who plan to come with me when I leave the planet in a few years, and we have become good friends. They assure me that if I call myself RALF Boudreaux, I can blend in here in Louisiana quite well, and I have also learned to call everyone I know my "cousins." That is the custom here, and so far, so good.
My one disappointment with being on earth is the high price of camping. Luckily, I am representing
Happy Camper Club, , and I am able to camp all over the territory called "The United States" and also, "Canada" for half off the regular camping rates.
Another disappointment is that when I arrived, I found out that Elvis has already left the planet. I almost didn't stay, but I am learning to get by listening to a fellow called "Sting." He is not Elvis, but he appeals to my inter-planetary senses.
I look forward to meeting all of you and making friends with earth beings who travel in RVs. Someday, when they de-classify my status here, I may be able to show you my "real" recreational vehicle. For now, let's just say that mine is a "Class A," and is quite top-of-the-line compared to other RVs I have seen here.
