We just returned from a week long trip from the Twin Cities to the Black Hills.   Other than the boring drive to get there and the outrageous gas prices in the Black Hills,  it was a great trip.  Hadn't been in that area since 1959--boy, the changes since then.   We stayed in Hill City at the Rafter Bar J campground---outstanding.   We had two motor homes and 10 people----and best of all---no motorhome problems.  Happy Trails all.

I'm almost there (Black Hills).  It is so hot and I hear there's a fire near Hot Springs.  You are so right....the drive is dreadful!  I've had to pull over several times at rest areas to "rest" I was so bored and sleepy.  I never have to do that!  I'll check out the Hill City at the Rafter Bar J campground where you stayed.  gypsymama
