So far all have been good. PTL. Now that I have had time to think about it ... We took a two week vacation up to Manistique Lake, MI. when our three young kids were small. We had the two of us, three kids, a Labrador / Irish setter mix, and a brother-in-law in a five person tent. The hay fever season was at it's hight and we were camped in a hayfield. Our eyes were red and watering constantly until we took pills. Then one day the kids had our dog leashed to the side of the tent and she saw a rabbit. She tried to go after it and in the process tore the side of the tent loose. With no way to repair it, we had to go into town buy a staple gun and a tube of sealer caulk. Well that got us by for the two weeks but finally I lost a tooth in my upper plate in the last week and had to go around with one tooth missing in front. Did we have fun though? Yes indeed, the kids loved it and we had somme wonderfull fun fishing the lake.

Hi Ray & Lynne, Enjoyed reading your page...especially the part about Steinbeck. I read Travels with Charlie back in the 60's and always knew I would travel with my dog. "Travels with TaZzi"....and my RV's name is.....Phoebe McGee.... Also enjoyed your pictures. Patty aka gypsy mama
Had to read your blog when I saw "El Rocinante" in your stories. That was the name of my 1958 Volkswagon convertible, named after John Steinbecks camper in "Travels with Charlie" named after Don Quixotes' Horse! Glad to see the name continues. Enjoyed your blog especially the part about taking up golf later in life. I'm 59 and people have been trying to get me to take it up for 30 years. I tell them I'm saving it for retirement. Now I can say it with a straight face! Jim (Alpenliter)
