Well the wife and I are still planning. We considered a 5er with a diesel pickup first, then considered (and still are) an Airsteam and pickup. I've been looking at the class C and it seems that one can pick up a nearly new C for less than a 5 year old Airstream. Is anyone fulltiming in their C? We would probably look at 27 to 30 footers. Is anyone using a Jeep Wrangler for a toad? You folks have always been very helpful in the past. Thanks, Dan

Well, I'm replying to myself. We went out to look at Class Cs and ended up comparing them to Class As. With the current economy we can get into a class A for about the same money. The difference in interior room is the biggest plus for a class A. The second plus is storage and then the ability to tow a bigger (heavier) second vehicle.

I beg to differ on the amount of space in the Class A vs the Class C for storage.  I've had two class A's and two Class C's and I prefer the over the cab storage in the Class C by far to the extra storage under the bed of the Class A. The belly storage in both are comparable and we lived in our Class C for 3 months and had plenty of space yet.  We ended up with storage drawers on the bunk over the cab to keep clothing that wouldn't fit in our closets.  Our Class A's barely slept 3 and with the couch, bunk over the cap and the table drop down we can easily sleep 3 extra grandkids (full sized) in the Class C.  Of course we have a slide out in the newest Class C which makes all the difference in the world with interior space. We've always towed Honda products, my civic and a CRV on a tow bar.  The tow dolly went the wayside real quick as being too heavy and difficult to hook up.

We bought a 37ft DP in December. Say what you will. There's a lot of difference. We have a large closet in the bedroom and 10 drawers for storage in the bedroom and hall. The storage in the bays below is cavernous and runs from side to side. We also have a cabinet used for more closet now that we can put a Splendide washer/dryer in later. I,ve never seen a C with as much even if you give up your cab over bed for storage. Cs are great for families that need to sleep a lot of people, but for full timing the A is for us.
