Retired 12-22-06 after 25 years as office manager in a dental office. Hit the road end/January 2007 in my 2006 Leisure Travel Van Free Spirit named "Phoebe McGee", my black pug, named "Lady TaZ Mania "Angel" (I call her TaZ or TaZzi), & my GPS is named "George Percival Stansfield". You can see I don't get lonely with my very large family". So far I've been to the Antelope Valley, CA/stayed at Lake Elizabeth RV Resort (one of my home parks through Coast2Coast). Then I stayed at Catalina RV Spa Resort in Desert Hot Springs. Lake Havasu next (another home park thru RPI & Colorado River Adventure). Next it was Page Springs (near Sedona), Benson, AZ at Pato Blanco RV Resort, N. M., TX, then New Orleans (Jazz Festival) in May.

By car, tent, planes have seen lots of the US and want to see it all and for a longer time. Went to Alaska on a cruise July 2006 and will drive there eventually. Have been to Canada, lots of Mexico, Bolivia, Peru, Bahamas, lots of Disney Cruises (my grandkids and I love it). Now that I'm full-time RVing all of my trips are the best. Because I'm doing this lifestyle for the adventure, not the destination, for the experience, not the judgement.

Phoebe McGee is great. She's only 22'~Just the right size for me & TaZ & George Percival Stansfield, my GPS! I've never gotten claustrophobic as I spend lots of time outside and do day trips wherever I lite. Best part is she's getting 22-24 MPG which is great "these days especially". I like her so much, I'm writing a song called "Me & Phoebe McGee".

hi Patti, finally got a new laptop, was going crazy w/o a puter. Enjoying NM, working 3 days and playing 4. Seeing a lot of neat things and finally after some rain, the forest is opened for hiking. Traveling up the mountain for work and using lots of fuel! NOT GOOD, but otherwise enjoying the summer. Have been thinking of you and wondering hoq you fared with fires. Somehow I lost your phone #. Give me a call if you still have mine. Good summer to you. Susan
Traveling only to NM for the summer. Will be working at the Copper Butterfly in Cloudcroft. Haven't decided if I'll stay in the village or in Alamogordo and commute. With the cost of diesel, I'll probably stay in the village and walk or ride my bike to work in the gift shop. Once a week to town will be enough I'm sure. Wanted to do some volunteering with the Moose Lodge and continue exploring the state but all that will depend on the price of fuel. Will be in Albuquerque last weekend in August for a square dance festival and hope to spend some time in Santa Fe with an ex-brother-in-law and his wife. Leaving FOY May 2 and going to meander around southern AZ seeing what I missed last fall, then on to Cloudcroft by May 12. Expect to be there thru Sept. 24 then return to FOY sometime late Oct. My daughter in Oakhurst wants me to detour and visit them in the fall. Again, will depend on costs of fuel. Most people I know have changed their travel plans for the summer to remain closer to home. Only a few are traveling all the way cross country and only because of family or plans that couldn't be changed. Not sure if I'll be on line for summer but keep in touch. Susan
